Genesis love steel here and the Volare 931 Disc is what happens when they are asked to create a steel race bike to compete with the modern-day carbon superbikes, and guess what... it holds its own and then some. Reynolds 931is the finest steel on the market and this has allowed us to create an extremely lightweight frame, while also allowing them to subtlety shape the tubing to tune the ride and feel without compromising strength. The stout BB86 Press-fit BB, beefy 24mm round-oval-round chainstays and oval-round 31.4/41.4-36.4mm downtube are all engineered with the sole purpose of providing maximum stiffness, whilst the slender flat-ovalized seatstays, 27.2mm seatpost and full-oval 31.8/25.4mm toptube all work together to form a nice buffer between the road and rider, adding in some much needed compliance to make long days in the saddle a breeze. All these factors plus the fact we have given it internal Di2 routing, a tapered headtube, 12mm thru axles front and rear as well as making the disc brake mounts front and rear flat mount adds up to mean that the Volare 931 can be built up to be a dream machine to destroy the miles on.
